Two years ago today I rode away from the Honda dealership for the first time on my brand new Ruckus. I was really anxious that day, selling a car and making a two-wheeler my primary mode of transportation, but it really has been great.

It's still a ton of fun to ride, and I've saved a ton of money. To give you an idea, I've used roughly 56 gallons of gas. If you figure gas cost an average of $2.50/gal. over the last two years, that's $140. Total. In two years, I've spent $140 in gas, riding the thing to and from work and around the neighborhood almost every day.

On those 56 gallons, I've gone 5676 miles. To give you a rough idea, it's approximately the same amount of miles I would undertake were I to drive from Dallas to Creede to Salinas, CA to Seattle to Grand Forks, ND to Des Moines and back to Dallas. Map here.

At an average of 35 mph, I've spent just over 160 hours sitting on the Ruckus.
